Home / eSIM
A network that arrives before you do
An eSIM profile is a network subscription delivered as a file. No plastic, no kiosk at the airport, no waiting for a courier to reach a device that is already in the field.
Three ways people buy it
The technology is the same in all three. What changes is who holds the customer relationship, and that is what the commercial model follows.
Data for people crossing borders
Regional and country plans that activate on arrival, with the home number left in place on the second profile. Sold under your brand or ours.
Connectivity for things, not people
Trackers, meters, payment terminals and vehicles, provisioned with SGP.32 so a profile can be switched remotely after the device is sealed and shipped.
A launch without a network
The core, provisioning and billing an MVNO needs in order to sell subscriptions, with your name on the profile and your rules on the plan.
Travelling, rather than buying wholesale?
COTA eSIM is where we sell the same connectivity one plan at a time. Pick a destination, install from a QR code in seconds, and land already online — no physical SIM to swap, no roaming bill waiting at the end of the trip.

Buying for a fleet, a brand or an MVNO instead? That is the wholesale side of the same network, and it stays on this page.
From order to online
Four steps, and the slowest one is the customer choosing a plan. Nothing physical moves, so a profile ordered at midnight is usable at midnight.
eSIM needs a device that supports it and is not carrier-locked. We check the device list for your market before you sell, because a compatibility surprise becomes a refund.
Choose the destination and plan
Country or regional bundle, data allowance and validity. For device fleets this is set once at the account level rather than per unit.
Receive the profile
A QR code, a universal link, or a push straight into your app through the API. The profile is issued against your account, not a shared pool.
Install and activate
The profile downloads over any working connection and sits alongside the existing SIM. Activation can be immediate or held until first use in the destination country.
Watch the usage
Consumption is visible per profile while it is happening, not at the end of the cycle. Thresholds can stop a profile before it runs into an overage you did not budget for.
Where profiles work
Coverage is the operators we have agreements with in each region, not a count of flags. Ask for the current per-country list with network names before you build a plan around it.

The standards underneath
GSMA SGP.22
The consumer specification. The subscriber chooses and installs the profile from the handset, which is what makes QR activation and in-app purchase possible.
- Used for
- Phones, tablets, watches
- Activation
- QR, link, in-app
GSMA SGP.32
The IoT specification. The network is changed remotely by the fleet owner, so a device with no screen and no user can still move between operators after deployment.
- Used for
- Meters, trackers, vehicles
- Activation
- Remote, by the fleet owner
Questions before a launch
Can we sell it under our own brand?
What happens when a device leaves the plan area?
How fast can an MVNO launch?
Do you support voice and SMS on the profile?
Tell us what the devices are and where they go.
Handsets or hardware, countries and expected data per month. That is enough to size a plan.
